COMPARATIVE NATURES BIO
ORGANIC CABBAGE DEMO TRIAL
(DALAGUETE, CEBU)

Some farmers are used to applying conventional method in their farming using chemicals without knowing the risks of the end users. It has been a challenge for us to convince our farmers in shifting into organic method because of a lot of reasons. To name a few, reasons include lower yield and income, higher cost, a lot of work, longer crop cycle, poor quality after harvest and many others have hindered them in going into organic.

Sitoy is one of those who took up the challenge in taking the organic way in yielding his vegetables, of which were employed conventional way of farming for several years now. He is from Dalaguete Cebu and will be sharing his Natures Bio Experience. There was a time that inspite of the good climate in Dalaguete, there were still be pests attacking the plants even if insecticide/pesticides were applied.

The maintenance then became more costly in buying chemical fertilizers, hence leaving with them smaller income and to some even financial loss. Sitoy was also prudent to be aware of the effects that it brings to the people who eat it.
On the other hand, however, he was also hesitant in going into organic on full blast because of the slow crop cycle, he also thinks it might be more costly, that it may not give a good yield and it might incur more loss in his crops. He was thinking that if it is organically produced, the physical appearance of the crop might not look that good. So he decided and agreed with us to have a comparative demo trial with his cabbages at first before applying in his other crops.

There were two controls one with Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures BioNim Organic Pest Controller  treatment and the other control was the conventional method with chemical fertilizer (liquid) with an alternate chemical fertilizer (solid), with insecticide, herbicide and fungicide).
Using the proper protocol, NaturesBio Protocol Application:

  • Soil treated with fermented chicken dung and sprayed NBO /NBN twice before transplanting (50ml /50ml/ 16 liters Sprayer). (Land Preparation)

  • Seeds soaked 12 hours with diluted NBO (50ml / liter H2O)

  • Seedbed treated with NBO /NBN

  • Sprayed every 7 days , with NBO/NBN (50ml/50ml/16liters sprayer) solution to arrest bacteria and repel insects.

Sitoy and even his neighboring co- farmers, noticed a great difference with the other control. With their comments: the Cabbages that are Natures Bio treated are freshly, bigger looking and grows into heavier sizes. There were also less insect attacks that lead to less damage on the cabbages. In comparison to the Natures Bio Treated Cabbages, the Conventional/chemical Treated cabbages have been the favorite of the insects and pest and attacks from time to time. That’s why these cabbages became hollow, dried looking and are very light in weight.
He was so much satisfied because he can’t believe on the results that he gained on his cabbages, there was a clear difference with the yield and outcome of the appearance and weight of the cabbages. He was also happy and became more eager in going into organic because of the big savings he could get in using Natures Bio with his crops compared to the conventional way which came out to be more costly.

Now he using Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller in all in his cabbages as well as with his carrots and bell pepper in the future. We would like to thank Manong Sitoy and the neighborhood of Dalaguete for welcoming Natures Bio and became witnesses of its works and how it improves the yield and quality of the crops. May we spread the Natures Bio Experience to other people.

  1. As stated by Stanford Medical, It's really the one and ONLY reason women in this country live 10 years more and weigh on average 42 pounds lighter than we do.

(By the way, it has totally NOTHING to do with genetics or some hard exercise and EVERYTHING related to "HOW" they are eating.)

P.S, I said "HOW", and not "what"...
